Born Arthur Douglas, Drax was just a normal family man who lived with his wife and daughter, who would go on to become Moondragon, until Thanos came to Earth and slaughtered his family. After the death of his family, Arthur swore revenge on the man who killed his wife and separated him from his daughter, becoming Drax the Destroyer. Drax the Destroyer would later join the Guardians of the Galaxy and become a prominent member of the team.
